Remote alarm/central locking

System operation

A.Pressing the LOCK button once locks all doors and activates the alarm system (if fitted).

B.Pressing the LOCK button twice within 3 seconds confirms all doors locked by sounding the horn once. 

The horn will sound twice if a door is open.

C.Pressing the UNLOCK button once deactivates the alarm system (if fitted) and unlocks the driver's door only.

D.Pressing the UNLOCK button twice within 3 seconds deactivates the alarm system (if fitted) and unlocks all doors.

E.Pressing the panic button once activates the panic alarm. 

The horn will sound and the direction indicator lamps or parking lamps will flash.

F.Pressing the panic button again, or switching ignition ON deactivates the panic alarm.

Programming

When

A.Remote transmitter added or replaced.

B.System malfunction.

How

NOTE: Ensure brake pedal is not depressed during procedure.

A.Obtain all remote transmitters.

B.Switch ignition from OFF to ON 8 times within 10 seconds;

  a.Doors should lock then unlock.

C.Within 20 seconds;

  a.Press any button on the first remote transmitter.

  b.Doors should lock then unlock.

D.Within 20 seconds;

   a.Press any button on the third remote transmitter.

   b.Doors should lock then unlock.

E.Within 20 seconds;

  a.Press any button on the fourth remote transmitter.

  b.Doors should lock then unlock.

NOTE: If door locks do not operate; Wait several seconds and then press the button again.

F. Repeat above procedure for the fifth and sixth remote transmitters if required or switch ignition OFF.

 A. Doors should lock then unlock.

NOTE: Five Hundred/Freestar ——2005/Freestyle/Ranger/Taurus: A maximum of 4 remote transmitters can be programmed.

Freestar 2006——/Mustang: A maximum of 6 remote transmitters can be programmed.
